Polycarbonate greenhouse | 4' x 6'
Are you looking for a safe, 4x6 greenhouse? Then look no further. This size is one of the
best value greenhouses and ideal for beginners and seasoned gardeners alike. Typically, it
will feature an aluminium frame with virtually unbreakable polycarbonate panels. On average,
the dimensions are: 4ft 3" Long x 6ft 3" Wide (1330 x 1930mm). A decent model will also
have a roof vent, gutters with end-stops and downspouts included with the package. For the
best results, glazing should be held in place by neat PVC Bar Capping. Many models feature
an Easi-Glide sliding door on the front. Most models will come with twinwall polycarbonate
glazing. This type of panel lets through light through than glass, but cuts out 99% of harmful
UV from the sunlight. It is probably the safest greenhouse glazing available. Construction
should be relatively simple. Because the relatviely light weight, this size greenhouse can
be sited on soil.
6' x 6' Greenhouse
The 6 x 6 size greenhouse models tend to have many features in common with the 4 x 6 models. Twin-wall Polycarbonate glazing is standard and gives an insulated growing environment, easy handling and glass-free safety. Models can be found in a number of colours but by far the most popular is green. The most durable models come with a galvanised steel base allowing for secure fitting and a long life. looking for durability, in particular a guarantee. The best manufacturers tend to offer a
ten year guarantee although a few of the more expensive buildings feature cover for the life
of the greenhouse. To keep costs down, you should look a garden building that has an integral
glazvanised steel base. This will let you erect the greenhouse on almost any surface including
soil and grass which keeps construction costs down.
